i dont like this one at all ….having a hard time getting it to work and go in the right direction.
The only thing that made me get this game was the previous good reviews on some gaming websites. I played the first deca sports and it was horrible, the motion controls had lagged and im even surprised that the company could afford to make a second one. It seems that they did fix some of the problems from the previous games the motion contols do work very well and it is actually fun playing some of the sports like raceing. The thing is though, not all the sports are fun. There was only 2 i found addicting, basketball and racing. Another bad the about this game is that the graphics are poor but beside that this game is an improvement to the first one and can be fun at times
There is really noting to spoil about the game. Essentially it is just a minigame compilation that is budget priced and attempts to bring a new and fresh take to the world of motion sports. DECA Sports 2 features ten new sports such as Ice Hockey, Dodge Ball, Tennis, Darts, Speed Skating, Mogul Skiing, Petanque (throwing a jack, then throw balls to get them as close as possible to the jack), Kendo, Motorcycle Road Racing, and Synchronized Swimming. The good thing and bad thing about these types of games is that there are a large number of events that can cater to a large number of people, but there are also a large number of events that wont appeal to people. For example, I feel that Kendo, Petanque, and Tennis were awesome events, but Synchronized Swimming, Motorcycle Road Racing, and Ice Hockey were quite boring or difficult to grasp the controls. The games are fun and probably the most intense is Tennis.
Ultimately there is fun here for people who like multiplayer games, there is an online component but I do not really think it is all that fun to play online when there is no voice chat, text chat, or even any other way to interact with the other person. I could see that it was a great addition, but like other games, the fun here is had when you play with other people who are live.
The only other thorn here is the odd presentation. The only voice like sounds are those made from the character grunting and what not, but there is no announcer guy or lady, which makes the game feel empty at times. Of course this is a small point if you’re having fun and laughing/trash talking a friend, but it would have been nice. Visually, the game looks like a game from the middle of the gamecube life cycle, flat textures, bland moments, and jagged lines are all present. But this is excusable for a budget priced title.
Ultimately there are some golden jewels in this game and it wont disappoint if you are looking for a game that is fun right off the bat. Sure it wont be a single player game to last you for years, but for kids of all ages and adults it is one of those games that provides some fun for the family and friends.
This is possibly the single worst game that I have played on the Wii. The controls are, to use appropriate language, a complete joke. The games are also not that fun to begin with. The only game that had potential was dodge ball and that fell through once I found out that catching the ball, along with dodging it are next to impossible. I am blown away at the crap that game testers and companies let hit the shelves. One word describes this game, pathetic. Husdon doesn’t even get points for effort. Complete waste of my time and hard earned money.
